Sox are slumping!
Boy is it tough to watch the Rays beat up on our Red Sox! We look just horrible offensively with so many holes in the lineup right now between Lugo, Veritek etc. Could it be time for Lowrie to come back up to the bigs to play a little shhortstop?
With Big Papi still out for a while, we need to pick up another bat. Who is available?

Isn’t it crazy how good the Rays are this season? I can’t believe it. Oh well, good for them I guess.

I hate to say it but Barry Bonds is still out there and if Big Papi is out for the year I would be happy to get Bonds. I know that some people now are thinking he’s a horrible person and he wouldn’t fit in with the Sox but what do you want more:
1. A team with great people on it
2. A team that can win

Max,
Nothing is more important than team chemistry. Just look at the recent success enjoyed by the Red Sox and New England Patriots. Barry Bonds is a cancer and he would turn the team into a traveling media circus and I fear the results would be disasterous.
There are other options that could be available to them that would be a lot less disruptive.

You could get Holliday, put him in left and have manny DH but I don’t think you want Manny DHing for the rest of the year…besides, Ortiz is coming back.
