Hi Ben,
We went to the Baltimore game last night (5/13/08). As usual, more Sox fans than O's fans. Although your aunt was rooting for the visitors, they just didn't seem to have the bats. Meanwhile, what do you think about the call on Big Pappi? Doesn't look like the same David Ortiz we've come to know and fear (speaking as an NL fan). Give your Dad a canadian noogie for me.
Love,
Uncle B

Hey guys I love the show. Redsoxcast should get a MySpace. Celticscast has one and it's really cool. Also, will there be a Bruinscast soon in the Boston Sportscast Network? Well I have to go. Bye!

The Boston Red Sox will be happy to win 90 games for two reasons.

1) Injuries: In 2004 and 2007 the Red Sox didn't have any major injuries. This year they have already been hampered by the flu and some leg injuries (Beckett with his neck also). I see more injuries this year with their pretty old team.

2) Tougher AL East: Fast starts by the O's and Rays have proven the AL East will to be at least a good division this year. The Yankees are looking a little better and the Jays should be above .500 at the All-Star break. The AL should be one of the best divisions in the MLB and winner will have 85-90 wins.

MY PREDICTION: 88 Sox Ws

I am going to say that the Sox break 60%.. by that means they should be around 100 wins.

The big question is if they can stay healthy. Beckett has already had multiple issues, Lowell on the DL, and Papi in his slump. If any of these continue past May, look for the Sox to be in trouble.

Buchholz with a quality start yesterday against the Rangers. If he can get on track, if Beckett can stay healthy, Wakefield keep his knuckleball dancing, and Schilling get his tush in shape, all the Sox need to do is get the lead to Papelbon to close it out.

I think the Sox will win 98 games in the regular season. My Dad (Harmon) thinks 96. How many games do other people think the Red Sox will win in the regular season?
